MUSIC PERFORMANCE
Premiere in December 2017 at Porta Theatre
A performance – open letter in the form of a song, based on tales from Asia Minor.
Drawing on recorded tales and narrations from Asia Minor as told by Argyro’s grandmother, The Sincere One dives in a symbolic and poetic universe through music and the setup of a dream-like concert.
An all-female pop band uses microphones, instruments and electronic soundscapes to turn these stories into a song. What really remains from a verbal narration of a story travelling in time? What truth survives? The one of memory or the one of the heart? The truth of history or the truth of narrative experience?
The performance is for young spectators and all audiences. Its text and music were devised by the team of The Sincere One during the rehearsals.
